(e) playing the 13th hole it comes to rest beyond the line of white posts between the 13th and 14th holes.

NOTE when playing the 13th hole, the white posts between the 13th and 14th holes are out of bounds stakes from which there is no relief. At all other times these posts are to be treated as immovable obstructions from which relief may be taken (Rule 16.1a).

2.

Abnormal Course Conditions and Integral Objects

All prepared paths are abnormal course conditions from which relief may be taken (Rule 16.1a).

3.

Penalty Areas (Rule 17)

Penalty areas are marked with red and yellow posts.  Relief may be taken in accordance with Rule 17.1d.

4.

Practice Putting Green

The practice green is a Wrong Green and a player must take free relief as permitted under Rule 13.1f.

5.

Special or Required Relief Procedures

(a) The young trees that are staked or identified by yellow bands are no play zones. If a player’s ball lies on or touches such a tree, or such a tree interferes with the player’s stance or area of intended swing, the player must take free relief under Rule 16.1a.

(b) If it is known or virtually certain that a player’s ball hit the overhead wire on the 17th hole the stroke does not count. The player must play a ball without penalty from where the previous stroke was made (Rule 14.6).

6. Tree Roots

Relief from tree roots (rule 16.1b)

If a player's ball in the general area has interference from tree roots in the fairway, or in the rough, but not within one club length of a tree trunk, free relief is available under rule 16.1b. However, interference does not exist if the tree roots only interfere with the player's stance.

7.

Matches

County matches and competitions, irrespective of format, have priority over club matches and competitions. Club matches and competitions, irrespective of format, have priority over casual and social golf.

8.

Non-official tees

Players starting from non-official tees or playing holes in random order will have no standing on the course.

9.

Procedures for Bad Weather and Suspension of Play

A suspension of play will be signalled by one long blast of the klaxon.  Resumption of play will be signalled by three short blasts of the klaxon. See Rule 5.7b.

10.

Temporary Local Rules - 21st October

(b)  if a player’s ball lies in or touches an aeration hole on the putting green, relief may be taken under Rule 16.1d.

(c)  the areas defined by blue lines are ‘no play zones’ from which play is prohibited.   If a player’s ball lies in the area, or if it interferes with the player’s stance or the area of his intended swing, the player must take relief under Rule 16.1f.

(d)  all newly turfed areas and green keepers’ workings are no play zones and relief must be taken under Rule 16.1f.

(e)  all temporary greens are to be treated as ‘no play zones’ when not in use. However, players may putt of them if they so wish.

(g)  when Winter Rules are in place and a player's ball lies in a part of the general area cut to fairway height or less, the player may take free relief once by placing the original ball or another ball in and playing it from this relief area:

• Reference Point: Spot of the original ball.

• Size of Relief Area Measured from Reference Point: 6 inches from the reference point, but with these limits:

• Limits on Location of Relief Area:

• Must not be nearer the hole than the reference point, and

• Must be in the general area.

(h)  Hazardous Play

       (i)  Geese - When your ball lands close to the geese on 8th hole you should decide within your playing group a fair point of                 relief. This so that you are a safe distance away from the geese and no nearer the green. You can take one club length from             the point of relief. There will be no penalty stroke for this.

In proceeding under this Local Rule, the player must choose a spot to place the ball and use the procedures for replacing a ball under Rules 14.2b(2) and 14.2e.
